Alignment Chart Generator

About

A free alignment chart generator, at any grid size you like

AlignmentCharts.com is a free online tool for building alignment charts and sharing them: pick a grid size, drop images or text into the cells, and export the result as a PNG.

What the generator does

An alignment chart is the familiar grid that sorts characters, foods, coworkers or anything else along two axes, most famously lawful to chaotic and good to evil. AlignmentCharts.com lets you build one from scratch instead of editing someone else's template.

The grid is yours to size. It supports anything from a single 1x1 cell up to a 25x25 grid, so a classic 3x3 chart, a wide 5x5 tier chart or an absurdly detailed matrix are all the same tool with a different setting.

Each cell can hold an uploaded image, a line of text, or both. When the chart is done, you export it as a PNG and share it wherever the argument is happening.

How it works

There is nothing to install and nothing to pay for. Set the number of rows and columns, upload images into the cells, add text labels, choose an accent color such as cyan or purple, and download the finished chart as a PNG file.

The interface is deliberately small. The point is to get from an idea to a shareable image in a couple of minutes, not to learn a design program.

Who it is for

Anyone who has ever argued about where something belongs on a chart. That includes tabletop players ranking their party, fans sorting a cast of characters, group chats settling a debate, teachers illustrating a two-axis idea, and people who simply want a meme that looks clean rather than pasted together.

Because the grid can be tiny or enormous, it works as well for a quick two-by-two joke as for a serious comparison with dozens of entries.

Free to use

The generator is free, and that is the whole pricing model. The site's own description ends on the single word free, and it applies to the lot: the grid sizes up to 25x25, the image uploads and the PNG export.

The site does carry some affiliate links, which are explained in the disclosure at the bottom of this page; they have no effect on how the tool works or on what you can make with it.
